 Dalia Lounge

August 2006

Restaurant Adventure of the Month

Dahlia Lounge, Seattle, WA

A great dining experience depends on so many factors- the delicious food is the icing on the cake. Constantly pursuing the mission of providing that whole experience for my clients, I seek and try restaurants that also strive to create that whole perfect experience for its guests.

Dahlia Lounge, the Tom Douglas restaurant which is rated in Seattle’s top ten and boasts one of the nicest dining rooms in Seattle, succeeded in providing not only a delicious array of varied foods and an impressive wine list, but attentive, friendly service, (I love a server that gives you their opinions and authentic recommendations), and an inspired, elegant yet comfortable atmosphere. The combination of soothing lamp lighting, rich red decor, and consistent dahlia branding throughout the restaurant creates a very sheik, elegantly modern feel, and the cozy booths almost invite you to curl up and and cuddle up in comfortable relaxation. Some of the scrumptious items sampled...

Crab cakes with lemongrass and curry, (for which Douglas is famous), vegetable Samosas with fresh yogurt and mango chutney, arrugula with local blueberries, peaches, goat cheese, and parsley vinaigrette, scallop sashimi with salmon roe and edamame, and wild pacific smoked salmon prepared several ways. We topped the delicious dinner off with creme caramel and ice wine, highly recommended by our delightful server, Sonia. Next time you visit Seattle, visit Dahlia Lounge for a dynamic dining experience.
